Waugh& CO. 

An innovator of dynamic marketing systems, Troy has more than 30 years of experience in marketing professional services. In 1991, he founded Waugh&CO to serve the accounting profession. 

Troy draws on his experience as the National Sales Manager for a major investment firm, the CEO of a publishing company and a manager with Price Waterhouse. Recognized as an industry leader, Troy has impacted clients around the world with his dynamic programs.

Scott Bradbary   M.Ed.

Vice President and Chief Learning and Development Officer

 The Rainmaker Academy®

Scott serves as Vice President of The Rainmaker Academy®.  He is responsible for the development and customization of our courses and training programs on behalf of our clients.  Scott has combined extensive coaching and teaching experience with excellent facilitation skills that enable professionals to implement their learning.  Scott is a key driver in our philosophy.  "It is not what you know about practice development that does you any good, it is what you DO that matters."

Prior to joining the The Rainmaker Academy® team in January 2003, Scott served as Curriculum Director at Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  He also served as an instructor in the teacher education program at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.  In his first career, he was a public school teacher and coach. 

Scott is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and holds a bachelors degree from LaGrange College, a master's degree from The University of Georgia and has taken graduate courses in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.

Sheila Sorey

Sheila joined The Rainmaker Academy with twenty years of administrative experience.  Sheila is responsible for ensuring that all academy participants have a Five Star experience.  Sheila assists participants and instructors with everything from class materials, reports, presentations, events and  accommodations.

Sheila also works along side Scott Bradbary.  Sheila assists Scott in the development of all program courseware, marketing and implementation of courses and materials.

Robin Davenport

Robin Davenport has an excellent background to function as a Sales Consultant for The Rainmaker Academy®.  Robin joined the firm in 2001 and has in-depth knowledge and experience working with our clients and participants in the program.  

As a Marketing Consultant, Robin assists our clients with their sales and marketing training needs.  Robin works along side the Director of Learning and Development and the Director or Rainmaker Academy Programs focusing on on the strategic direction of the Academy.

Amy Miller

Director of First Impression
 

Amy is our Commander-In-Chief of Client Service when it comes to our clients, vendors and team members.  Her role is to primary greet guests and clients and ensure that they speak with the appropriate person or are otherwise handled efficiently and effectively.  In addition, the Director of First Impression serves as office administrative assistant.

Steve Overton

Vice President

 The Rainmaker Consulting Group

Steve is a professional trainer and facilitator with more than 24 years of experience. His background as a Certified Master Trainer in sales and leadership from the Dale Carnegie University made him a perfect fit in our program.

Steve spent 19 years in sales and management with Dale Carnegie and was consistently recognized as being in the top 10% of sales people and sales managers in the world. During his Dale Carnegie career, Steve worked internally with firms ranging from the Fortune 500 to sole-proprietorships, assisting them in developing the people side of processes to make their organizations stronger and better in serving both internal and external clients.

Additionally, Steve has worked the last 5 years in the banking industry in his hometown of Dickson, Tennessee. Under his leadership the bank asset base grew 16%. Steve holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee

Angie Grissom

As a Senior Consultant with Waugh&CO, Angie specializes in the training and implementation of the Permission Marketing Campaigns for our clients nationwide.  As a multifaceted professional, she designs the quarterly newsletter, a Marketing Moment, as well as promotional material for The Rainmaker Academy® and GMN Enterprise Network. Angie is currently assisting Troy in writing monthly practice management articles for Accounting Today, the business newspaper for the tax and accounting community.

Patrick joined Waugh&CO as a professional trainer and facilitator with more than 12 years experience in people and process development.  He brings expertise in the area of service industry sales & marketing, quality and continuous improvement, as well as world class programs from Franklin Covey. 

Patrick's background includes seven years in University Continuous Improvement at Arizona State University and three years as a training and development consultant for Las Vegas, NV resorts. He holds a bachelor's degree in Communications - Human Resource Development, from Brigham Young University.  Patrick is a member of and past Director of Professional Development (Las Vegas/Tucson Chapters), American Society for Training and Development.

A professionally trained educator and businessman, Charlie has been on the front lines in sales, general management and professional consulting for the past 20 years. His experience comes from work with national accounting firms, in national sales management with a fortune 500 company, the organization of his own business consulting firm, and his work with more than 30 companies in both the public and private sectors. 

Charlie's academic credentials include a B.A. in Education, B.S. in Sociology and a Masters in Education with an emphasis on Educational Leadership Development. Graham G. Wilson

Graham G. Wilson joined Waugh&CO as a trainer in 1996 and firmly believes in the power of marketing and sales in public accounting.  Graham personally receives an average of 4.8 on a 5.0 scale on all programs he conducts.  Over the last 20 years, he has combined extensive international content knowledge with outstanding facilitation skills to enable CPA firms, departments and individuals to increase their marketing and sales effectiveness.

 As a former client partner with Franklin Covey and as Director of Training for the largest local accounting firm in Chicago, Graham has unique insight into the development needs of accountants.  Graham is a frequent speaker and program presenter for the Illinois CPA Society, and for many national and international accounting firms.

Graham holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southampton University, UK.  Born in England, Graham moved to the United States in 1993 and became a U.S. citizen in 1997.

Guy is an Organizational Counselor providing training and consulting services to professional practice firms. Focusing on helping firms grow to the next level, he leads them in the strategic planning process and leadership development. He has written numerous articles on strategy and leadership and contributes regularly to various publications. In addition, he is invited to speak at association meetings and conferences on topics related to growing firms effectively.  

Guy is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, the West Virginia Graduate College, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. In addition, he is completing an MBA from Marshall University Graduate College.

Jennifer Louis, CPA

Jennifer joined The Rainmaker Academy with over 14 years experience in the accounting industry, including designing and instructing high-quality training programs specific to CPA’s in a wide variety of technical and “soft skills” topics needed for professional and organization success.  As a CPA, Jennifer brings real-life expertise and practical application to The Rainmaker Academy programs. 

Jennifer’s most recent prior experience includes Executive Vice President/Director of Training Services at AuditWatch, Inc., a highly respected training and consulting firm serving the audit profession. In addition, Jennifer was the Financial/Operational Audit Manager at AARP and an Audit Manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP.   

Jennifer graduated summa cum laude from Marymount University with a BBA-Accounting.  She is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and is licensed to practice accounting in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Kevin comes to GMN Enterprise Network from the RSM McGladrey Network where he spent over seven years serving their membership.  He filled a variety of roles including member service, recruitment and training on McGladrey & Pullen’s audit and accounting guidance materials.

Before joining the McGladrey Network Office in July 1995, Kevin served on the audit and accounting team in McGladrey & Pullen’s Moline, Illinois office.
